Mould Carriers

Mould carriers are hugely helpful in the production of moulded polyurethane components for a wide range of industries and areas. They have to function reliably and be easy to use. The can be positioned on a rotary table, an oval system, fixed in stationary position or within an overall system, and they usually carry complex foam tools with several individual features. There are many important requirements for mould carriers. For example, they must ensure that the two halves of the tool are 100% parallel when closing, the tool is securely fixed on the mould carrier, the optimal contact and tear forces are generated, and the opening angle is user-friendly, allowing for product removal, application of the release agent and cleaning. When it comes to mechanics, safety devices and control engineering, the demands made on mould carriers are high. They also have to reliably withstand the loads during the production process and guarantee maximum safety for the operators. Optitek GmbH designs and manufactures pneumatic, hydraulic and fully electric mould carriers, and can also undertake individual customer requests. Our specially designed “High Speed M” mould carrier has already proved extremely popular with our customers thanks to its enormous flexibility.
